Easter 2010

Yesterday we went to Gig Harbor and spent the Easter holiday with Aaron's cousin, Noelle, her husband, Adrian, and their three kids--- 6 year old Elijah, 5 year old Lukas, and almost 2 year old Angelina. In addition, Aaron's aunt and uncle were there so it was a full house! We haven't seen his family in Gig Harbor since last fall and it was really nice to reconnect with each other and see how much the kids have grown. We made the drive up there with Aaron's mom, Joan, and it's definitely made Aaron and I realize that we need to invest in a minivan. We just got Jaxson a "big boy" car seat and so now we can only fit the two car seats in the back---no room for anyone else. We were able to get enough room to squeeze Aaron in the back seat, but it's not comfortable at all. So, I'm now being upgraded to "soccer mom" status with a minivan in the near future so we have room to cart around our family and baggage...and at times there can be a lot. Ha-ha.

Anyway, we all had a great time. Uncle Larry made a ham and we had potatoes, salad, asparagus, rolls, and dessert...YUM! The kids all had an Easter egg hunt and it was so cute to see Jayden looking for his eggs and treats for his Easter basket. Our boys were totally spoiled as they got THREE Easter baskets each--- one from us, one from Nana Joan, and one from Grandpa Bryan and Grandma Lisa. Then, Noelle had a little barn with 6 baby chicks inside who were just a few days old. Each child got to pick out a chick that they could name and take care of when they came back to the farm. Jayden picked a black chick and named it "Thomas" (after Thomas the Train) and Jaxson picked a white and brown chick and named it "Baba"... since Baba was the first word out of his mouth. This made Noelle and I laugh as Angelina named her chick "Bok Bok" so there's Baba and Bok Bok. LOL...kids. It was really cute as we were leaving because Jayden was so sweet and he went around and gave everyone hugs and kisses and said goodbye (as he was walking away from Elijah and Lukas he goes, "Mama, MY cousins!"), then he went out to the front porch where the little chick barn was, opened the door, found Thomas and said "Bye Thomas! See you later!".

Then they presented Jaxson with his birthday present which was a big wagon for both boys to sit in for trips to the fair, zoo, park...you name it. They absolutely LOVED it and we spent a good portion of the day pushing them around the house in their wagon. The kids all played well together and us adults even had time to play some games! Yay!

Here are some pictures (of the kids) from our Easter.
